Description

Used/very good condition A-Square Hannibal pattern rifle built on a LEFT handed Sako L691 action, the 24″ barrel chambered for the formidable .495 A-Square cartridge. Included are reloading dies and 38 pieces of properly headstamped brass (10 virgin, 27 fired, and 1 piece of .500 A-Square-stamped brass trimmed to .495 length). The rifle holds three rounds down plus one in the chamber. The mag follower holds the bolt open after the last shot is ejected, alerting the hunter to the empty condition of the magazine! The magazine floorplate latch is extremely stiff, just as you’d want in such a rifle. Trigger pull is approximately 3lbs and extremely crisp. The safety is a Winchester 70-style 3-position. Length of pull is 13 13/16″. A-Square’s own swing-off style rings (1″) and mounts are present.

Bore and chamber are in excellent condition. The deeply recessed crown shows zero nicks dings. The Cerakote-esque metal finish shows minor wear around the trigger guard edges, plus a couple of inconsequential handling marks from honest use. The stock shows scratches presumably from transport in a Landcruiser, but crucially shows zero cracks or other structural compromise. No case is included.
